:: RESPIRATORY SYSTEM ::
It is a biological process in which oxygen is get oxilized by the action of metabolism to get energy in the form of ATP.
Structure of respiratory system |
- Nose and Nasal cavity:: The nose is made up many irregular flat bones and cartilage. The nasal cavity is divided into two nostrils by nasal septum. The sinuses in different bones open into nasal cavity. The nose is the first organ through which air enters the respiratory system.
- Pharynx :: 1. Passage of air and food. 2.Warming and moisturing the air. 3. Protection - help to produce antibodies.
- Larynx :: 1. Sound protection. 2. Speech. 3. Protection of lower respiratory 4 . Air passage ways. 5. Warming filtering and humidyfing the inspired air. 6. Cricoid and arterynoid cartilages in control the voice box.
- Transport of air and potency.
- Mucous clearance.
- Cough relax.
- Warming humidifying and filtaring of the air.
- Control of air entry.
- Warming and humidifying.
- Support and patency.
- Removed of mucous and other solids.
- Cough relax.
Each lobe in a lung is made up of many lobules. the lobule is consist of respiratory bronchioles, alveolor ducts and alveoli ( tiny air sacs) these are supported by elastic connective tissue in which the macrophages fibroblasts, nerve, blood and lymph vessels are present.
Lungs ::
- Pleuro is the outer layer of lungs.
- It has two parts outer is parietal and inner veseral layer.
- It both layer contain water is called pleural fluid contain 60 to 80 ml.
- Pleuro is shock observer.
- In respiration involve muscles are inter costal Diapharamatic, abdominal muscles.
